Symphony Space

The A.C.T. Conservatory
A.C.T.’s Conservatory training programs prepare actors of all ages and experience levels to explore their craft and grow as artists. Our Young Conservatory helps young artists ages 8–19 gain the confidence and skills to succeed both on- and offstage, while Studio A.C.T. helps adults expand their creativity through part-time, professional caliber theater classes. The Old Globe
The Tony Award–winning The Old Globe is one of the country’s leading professional nonprofit regional theatres. Now in its 89th year, the Globe is San Diego’s flagship performing arts institution, and it serves a vibrant community with theatre as a public good. Under the leadership of Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein and the Audrey S. Geisel Managing Director Timothy J. Shields, The Old Globe produces a year-round season of 16 productions of classic, contemporary, and new works on its three Balboa Park stages, including its internationally renowned Shakespeare Festival. More than people annually attend Globe productions and participate in the theatre’s artistic and arts engagement programs. Its nationally prominent Arts Engagement Department provides an array of participatory programs that make theatre matter to more people in neighborhoods throughout the region. Humanities programs at the Globe and around the city broaden the community’s understanding of theatre art in all its forms. The Public Theater
Conceived over 60 years ago as one of the nation’s first nonprofit theaters, The Public has long operated on the principles that theater is an essential cultural force and that art and culture belong to everyone. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Oskar Eustis and Executive Director Patrick Willingham, The Public’s wide breadth of programming includes an annual season of new work at its landmark home at Astor Place, Free Shakespeare in the Park at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park, the Mobile Unit touring throughout New York City’s five boroughs, Public Works, Public Shakespeare Initiative, and Joe’s Pub. Founded in 1979 by Jeffrey Horowitz, the mission of Theatre for a New Audience is to develop and vitalize the performance and study of Shakespeare and classic drama. Tulsa Ballet
Regarded as one of the top ballet companies in North America and internationally recognized, Tulsa Ballet consistently brings the finest works of the classical and contemporary repertory to the Oklahoma stage, presenting the same works and sharing the same world-renowned choreographers with the top dance organizations in the world. Tulsa Ballet was founded in 1956 by husband and wife Roman Jasinski and Moscelyne Larkin, internationally known dancers in the Ballet Russe tradition. Jasinski and Larkin set the tone for artistic excellence—a foundation that has been preserved and built upon for decades. In 1995 Marcello Angelini was appointed Artistic Director following 37 years of multifaceted history created by the Jasinski family. Mr. Angelini has been called by Dance Magazine “The Italian Tornado” for undertaking an ambitious repertory building program. In the last decade, Tulsa Ballet has added more then 70 new works to its repertory that were either Oklahoma Premieres, American Premieres or World Premieres. Tulsa Ballet has also claimed a spot on the international scene, performing in three European countries and South Korea during the past seven years. Tulsa Ballet is committed to the task of creating art in Tulsa and exporting it to the world. With this concept in mind, the company built and opened a proper 300 seats,$6 million theater, Studio K, built around the project of creating new art, in the spring of 2008.

Virginia Symphony Orchestra
Driven by our core values of artistic excellence and inclusion, the Virginia Symphony Orchestra is dedicated to creating world-class symphonic performances, transformative music education, and purposeful community engagement throughout Southeastern Virginia. Through appearances at the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall and commitment to adventurous programming, the VSO and its musicians have been highlighted in national media including The New York Times, The Washington Post, National Public Radio and BBC Worldwide News. As the largest arts performing organization in southeastern Virginia, the VSO and VSO Chorus present more than 150 concerts and events to educate, enlighten and entertain more than residents and visitors each year, successfully expanding its programming beyond the traditional concert format. These include the innovative and thematic concerts like special “Sensory-friendly concerts” designed to accommodate the needs of audience members on the autism spectrum and those with sensory sensitivities. Its health and wellness programs incorporate interactive therapeutic experiences for people living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

A beacon of the community, Walton Arts Center has grown significantly over the last quarter of a century and now operates three facilities – the original Walton Arts Center, the neighboring Nadine Baum Studios and the Walmart AMP ( Arkansas Music Pavilion, AMP) in Rogers. The Walmart AMP is Northwest Arkansas’ premiere outdoor concert venue, set in a vibrant commercial district just North of Fayetteville in Rogers.
