The RED-DM relies on three pillars- Participatory based methodologies and observatory triangulation for business model development - Implement appropriate innovative technologies including a smart modular minigrids and Integrated Power Units - Ongoing technical operation and maintenance, community training, and facilitation of income generating productive use of energy We understand rural communities, their motivations and needs, local resources and cultural sensitivities related to the success of energy access projects. Through our RED-DM, we develop business models for each energy access investment tranches that addresses general and specific risks to those projects. To fund our activities, we provide consulting services to clients using the profits for rural communities who need energy. Our consulting activities included site surveys, GIS based least cost electrification planning, business model development for rural electrification projects, project development support activities and many others. Having surveyed over 500 villages and designing/implementing/managing minigrids with over beneficiaries, we have the skills, knowledge and experiences to help others de-risk energy access investments. There are already over 1.500 students until the end of 2019

Pt Energi Banyu Kencana Tirtagen
PT Energi Banyu Kencana (Tirtagen) is an SPV that, on behalf of InfraCo Asia, is developing the Endikat Hydropower Project. The Endikat Hydroelectric Power Project is a 65,6 MW hydroelectric peaker power project that will be developed in the Province of South Sumatra, Indonesia. The project is located on the Endikat river extending down the Dempo Mountain in the Pagar Alam and Lahat regencies. The envisaged project is expected to be a cascading run-of-river hydro project consisting of two powerhouses with a preliminary capacity of 33 MW upstream and 32,6 MW downstream totaling 65,6 MW. The Endikat Hydroelectric Power Project will be completed to target the immediate requirements of the South Sumatran grid to provide adequate, cost-efficient and reliable power through a cascade hydroelectric power plant. Tirtagen will ensure IFC Performance Standards are followed and that social and environmental risks are well identified, avoided when possible, and otherwise minimized and mitigated.
