The Belgian Cancer Registry also collects all anatomopathological test results as part of the early detection programme for certain cancers (cervical cancer, breast and colon cancer).

CAPTURE is a research platform on circular economy that links above 300 researchers and above 100 companies. It is a one-stop-shop for industry and government and offers integrated solutions related to resource recovery, without being restrained by the boundaries of institutes and stakeholders. The key partners are Ghent University, VITO, the University of Antwerp and Vrije Universiteit Brussel. CAPTURE wants to deliver a disruptive contribution to the circular economy, focussing on three pipelines: water 'fit-for-use', CO2 to product, and plastics to resource. CAPTURE has three main pillars: 1. Clustering of expertise, infrastructure and stakeholders in thematic pipelines, developing solutions from waste to resource, to final application; 2. Acceleration of the introduction of knowledge and technologies towards industry and society; 3. Training of multidisciplinary professionals.

The Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts (KVAB) is an independent multidisciplinary society. Its membership, nominated and elected by peers, consists of professors, influential business leaders, artists and art experts. Together they aim to contribute to the promotion of science and art. Royal Observatory Of Belgium
The Royal Observatory of Belgium is an internationally renowned research institute with recognized expertise in the study of planet Earth and other nearby or remote objects in the Universe. Astronomy, astrophysics, planetology, geophysics, seismology, gravimetry, spatial geodesy and solar physics constitute the main research fields of the Observatory. As a public institute, the Royal Observatory of Belgium also provides services to the scientific community, to the public, to the government and to the whole society, where these services fall within the boundaries of its missions and are based on the results obtained by its researchers. Such services include time service, management of the Belgian seismic network, integration of the Belgian GNSS stations (Global Navigation Satellite Systems such as GPS and Galileo) in international reference systems, gravimetric measures, continuous monitoring of the solar activity, space weather forecasts and diffusion of information related to astronomical phenomena. The Royal Observatory of Belgium also manages the Planetarium at the Heysel site, a magical place! Visitors can admire starry skies reproduced in genuine form by projection onto the large dome (at a diameter of more than 23 meters, on the largest in Europe). The scientific disciplines that fall within the remit of the 3 Federal Scientific Institutes of the Space Pole are presented there by immersive audiovisual displays, outreach conferences and exhibitions. Together with 9 other Federal Scientific Institutes, the Royal Observatory of Belgium is part of the Belgian Science Policy Office (BELSPO).

The University of Antwerp (Universiteit Antwerpen) is a young and dynamic Belgian university. It is characterised by its high standards in education, internationally competitive research and entrepreneurial approach. It was founded in 2003 after the merger of the three universities of Antwerp. The university's roots go back to 1852. The Coastal & Ocean Basin (COB) research facility, located in Flanders Maritime Laboratory at Ostend Science Park, has been designed in order to facilitate highly accurate testing of coastal and offshore engineering scale models. This state-of-the-art concrete wave tank,(L 30 m x W 30 m x H 2.3 m) boasts a number of unique features, such as the ability to generate waves and current at any relative angle. Extreme directional wave conditions with a wave height up until 0.55 m in combination with maximum current velocities of 0.4 m/s can be generated. Coastal & Ocean Basin Ostend is managed by a consortium composed of Ghent University, KU Leuven and Flanders Hydraulics Research. The COB welcomes users from academia, industry and governmental institutions.

L’A.S.B.L. est née en 1982 dans le giron de l’Institut Supérieur d’Architecture de Saint-Luc de Bruxelles. Dès sa création, le Centre d’Etude, de Recherche et d’Action en Architecture a eu pour but de mener des études, de la recherche et des actions à la pointe dans le domaine de l’architecture. Il s’agissait d’un rôle complémentaire à celui de l’enseignement de l’Institut et qui prolongeait l’action de ce dernier en faisant le lien entre la théorie et la pratique dans une optique pluridisciplinaire. Lorsqu’en 2011 les Instituts Supérieurs d’Architecture ont été intégrés aux Universités, nous avons choisi de garder notre indépendance tout en poursuivant les missions que nous nous étions assignées. L’équipe de chercheurs du CERAA est constituée principalement d’architectes ayant une expérience professionnelle dans le domaine de l’architecture et de l’urbanisme à Bruxelles. La compétence du CERAA est ainsi nourrie tout à la fois sur le plan théorique et sur le plan de la pratique professionnelle, ce qui représente la meilleure garantie dans l’exécution des services qu'il rend à la société. ERRIN is a well-established Brussels-based platform of around 120 regional stakeholder organisations from 22 European countries, most of whom are represented by its Brussels offices. We focus solely on research and innovation policy and funding programmes, as well as project development. They develop the agenda and the priorities of the whole network by taking an active role within our working groups or in our Management Board. Through our 13 working groups, we work with research and innovation in a very comprehensive way, promoting triple and quadruple helix cooperation and the importance of regional innovation ecosystems.
