Le programme des Chaires de recherche sur le monde francophone (CRMF) aspire à consolider la position de l’Université d’Ottawa comme chef de file dans le domaine de la recherche sur les francophonies ontariennes, canadiennes et internationales. Le programme se veut l’une des plus importantes dynamos de la recherche sur la francophonie sur le campus, en Ontario français, au Canada et dans le monde. Il contribuera à consacrer l’Université d’Ottawa comme le leader incontestable des études portant sur les francophonies en Ontario, au Canada et comme l’une des institutions les plus importantes sur le plan de la recherche en français et sur les francophonies au monde. Le programme aura pour objectifs de/d’ : Poursuivre et approfondir la tradition d’excellence en recherche sur la francophonie de l’Université d’Ottawa, tant ontarienne, que canadienne et internationale; Faire rayonner les recherches sur la francophonie en lien aux axes prioritaires de développement de la recherche de l’Université; Promouvoir l’interdisciplinarité en matière de recherche sur la francophonie; Favoriser l’éclosion et l’inclusion de nouveaux chercheurs et nouvelles chercheuses sur la francophonie d’ici et d’ailleurs, et ce, à tous les niveaux (étudiant-e-s M.A, Ph. Centre For Research On Work Disability Policy Crwdp

Who We Are The Centre for Research on Work Disability Policy (CRWDP) is a transdisciplinary initiative on the future of work disability policy in Canada. Our Objective Illness and disability touch most people at some point over their lifetime. Our objective is to identify how people, when disabled, can be better retained and integrated into the Canadian labour market. Our Primary Activities - Providing a forum for within- and cross-provincial and national dialogue on challenges and opportunities for improving the Canadian work disability policy system- Identifying problems and challenges associated with program coordination and complexity- Identifying relevant and favourable alternative approaches to system design and service provision through select comparisons with countries and small scale trials- Mobilizing knowledge developed within and outside of the initiative in order to inform policy; and - Building capacity for research and knowledge mobilization on the topic of work disability policy and labour-market engagement of individuals with disabilities. Our Three Key Questions 1. How well does the Canadian disability policy system serve the current and emerging needs of working-age individuals when disabled in terms of employment support and opportunities? For which individuals and in what labour-market contexts does our disability policy system work well/not work well and why? What are the key opportunities for policy and program improvement in the short and long run? What Do We Mean By Work Disability Policy By work disability policy, we mean policy related to any federal or provincial or territorial program in Canadian that shapes income security and labour-market engagement for work-disabled individuals. We also include employers in the disability policy system as they play an important role in shaping opportunities for work-disabled individuals and have specific obligations under some programs and legislations.

Centre On Drug Policy Evaluation

The Centre on Drug Policy Evaluation (CDPE) strives to improve community health and safety by conducting research and outreach on best practices in drug policy. We work collaboratively with governments, affected communities, and civil society to guide effective and evidence-based policy responses to substance use. The CDPE was founded as the International Centre for Science in Drug Policy (ICSDP) in 2010 at the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS in Vancouver, Canada. The CDPE is now housed within the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Canada. The CDPE endeavors to be a primary source for rigorous scientific evidence on the impacts of illegal drug policy on community health and safety. To that end, the CDPE produces research products that adhere to the highest standards of peer-reviewed scientific research. The CDPE also conducts outreach and knowledge translation to inform policymakers, affected communities, key stakeholders, and the general public on pressing current issues surrounding illegal drugs and drug policy. The CDPE also leads innovative primary research, including on drug checking services, supervised injection services, injection drug use prevention, overdose response, and drug policy evaluation.
