Das Technologietransferzentrum Stein für Digitalisierung in der notfallmedizinischen Bildung wurde von der Hochschule Ansbach, gemeinsam mit der Stadt Stein, im Rahmen der Hightech Agenda Bayern ins Leben gerufen. Wissenschaftlicher Fokus des Technologietransferzentrums ist die Entwicklung und Implementierung neuer digitaler Technologien zur Verbesserung der notfallmedizinischen Bildung in allen akut- und notfallmedizinischen Arbeitsfeldern. Dies umfasst Aspekte der Gefahrenabwehr ebenso wie Perspektiven der Gesundheits- und Versorgungsforschung. Durch enge Kooperationen mit Rettungsdiensten, Einrichtungen der medizinischen Industrie und den Behörden und Organisationen mit Sicherheitsaufgaben sollen neue Themen- und Forschungsgebiete identifiziert und erschlossen werden. Durch den Einsatz von virtueller Realität, den Wirkungsweisen maschinellen Lernens und der Vernetzung mit künstlicher Intelligenz wird ein breites Spektrum angeboten.

The Novel Materials Discovery Nomad Laboratory - A European Centre Of Excellence
The Novel Materials Discovery (NOMAD) Laboratory maintains the largest repository for input and output files of all important computational materials science codes. From its open-access data it builds several Big-Data Services helping to advance materials science and engineering. NOMAD is a European Centre of Excellence (CoE), funded under the European Union's Horizon 2020 programme, which was established in fall 2015. Eight complementary research groups of highest scientific standing in computational materials science along with four high-performance computing (HPC) centers form the synergetic core of this CoE. NOMAD creates, collects, stores, and cleanses computational materials science data, derived from the most important materials science codes available today. In addition, the NOMAD Laboratory CoE develops tools for mining this data in order to find structure, correlations, and novel information that could not be discovered from studying smaller data sets. Together, the large volume of data and innovative tools will enable researchers in basic science and engineering to advance materials science, identify new physical phenomena, and help industry to improve existing and develop novel products and technologies.

Tritium Laboratory Karlsruhe
We are a division of the Institute for Astroparticle Physics (IAP) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany. The TLK is in operation since 1993. We have a license to handle up to 40 g of tritium. Our closed tritium cycle is an enabler for experiments with gram-scale tritium amounts. We are a major contributor to the fuel cycle and tritium technology developement for nuclear fusion. TLK is hosting the KATRIN neutrino mass experiment. We are strong in fundamental research and cooperate with industry to realize solutions for tritium / fuel cycle challenges.
