African Reproducibility Network
The African Reproducibility Network seeks to build a community where the concerted efforts of individuals across Africa interested in championing open and reproducible research can be maximized. As a community-led initiative, the AREN adopts a train-the-trainer approach in producing African scientists that are well-equipped to meet the changing landscape of research and the demand to make things more open and reproducible. Members receive training on open and reproducible practices and how to integrate existing open science infrastructure into their research work. Trainees then become ambassadors tasked with promoting open and reproducible research practices while helping train others within their research communities with support from the network. We want to create local communities of passionate and active open science practitioners and advocates across Africa.
