ALTERITAS – Interazione tra i popoli, fondata a Verona nel 2009, oggi ente di ricerca accreditato, studia le forme di contatto e di scambio tra culture e popoli di diverse origini, lingue, culture e tradizioni nel passato e nel presente. L’associazione è accreditata anche presso la regione Veneto come ente che si occupa con continuità di fenomeni migratori. Grazie ad una rete di oltre 50 studiosi di discipline diverse, e alla collaborazione con vari enti di ricerca, università e di singoli specialisti di varie discipline, l’associazione è impegnata in progetti di ricerca caratterizzati da un ampio raggio di temi e di approcci scientifici alle scienze sociali e umane. Tutti i progetti mirano a mettere in comunicazione il presente con il passato, considerando che le migrazioni e le interazioni tra i popoli costituiscono elementi costanti dell’umanità. Su questi temi, oltre al coordinamento di singoli progetti di ricerca Alteritas organizza convegni, conferenze, giornate tematiche interdisciplinari e pubblica e presenta volumi scientifici.

La costituzione dell’Associazione Rete Italiana LCA rappresenta un importante punto di partenza che va inserito in un più ampio percorso già intrapreso dalla Rete, che ha visto una serie di rilevanti iniziative sul territorio nazionale. L'idea della creazione di un network per lo scambio di informazioni, metodologie e buone pratiche sullo stato dell’arte e sulle prospettive del LCA in Italia è stata lanciata da ENEA nel 2006 a Bologna nel corso del Workshop sullo stato dell’arte e prospettive degli studi di Life Cycle Assessment in Italia. Il network ha portato alla creazione di una mailing list con circa 400 iscritti, alla costituzione di nove gruppi di lavoro - Alimentare e Agroindustriale, Energia e Tecnologie Sostenibili, Edilizia, Prodotti e Processi Chimici, Servizi Turistici, Gestione e Trattamento Rifiuti, Legno arredo, Automotive & Elettrico-Elettronico, DIRE (Development and Improvement of LCA methology: Research and Exchange of experien-ce), alcuni dei quali impegnati nella definizione di banche-dati e di approcci metodologici mag-giormente applicabili alle specificità del territorio e dell’economia italiana. Le principali finalità dell'Associazione della Rete Italiana LCA sono- promuovere lo scambio di informazioni e buone pratiche sullo stato dell’arte e le prospettive degli studi di LCA in Italia- favorire la diffusione della metodologia di LCA a livello nazionale- stimolare l’incontro tra i soggetti che si occupano di LCA e favorire i processi di networking tra diversi operatori del - settore per la realizzazione di progetti a livello nazionale e internazionale. Tra le attività dellAssociazione ci sono: Servizi informativi (Portale Internet, Newsletter e Mailing list), Gruppi di Lavoro, organizzazione di un Workshop (annuale) dell'Associazione Rete Italiana LCA. BraYn stands for "Brainstorming Research Assembly for Young Neuroscientists", and is an initiative which aims to create a congress specifically intended for young researchers under the age of 40 working in the field of Neuroscience. The main goal of the BraYn initiative is to organize a scientific conference attracting different laboratories across Italy and Europe where young researchers, especially PhD students and junior postdocs, can share their knowledge, skills and ideas to establish new collaborations between different research groups. We believe that the first BraYn conference will boost the number of connections between laboratories across Italy and Europe, this improving the chance for potential collaborations. At the same time, by hosting and involving neuroscientists from abroad, our goal is to make the BraYn conference a flagship event for young European researchers.

Camozzi Research Center
The Camozzi Research Center was born to become an advanced knowledge hub at the service of all group divisions- The Camozzi Group has always stood out for its innate vocation for innovation in industrial processes across all its companies' technological fields. The various divisions have thus developed an incredible wealth of knowledge, constantly cultivated and enriched in over 50 years of Camozzi history. In 2021, this heritage culminated in the Camozzi Research Center in Milan: a one-of-a-kind facility that combines Camozzi's experience and skills with Italian and international research excellence. Working together with our divisions' various research teams and our external industrial and institutional partners, the CRC coordinates all the most advanced R&D activities to acquire the scientific and technological knowledge necessary to shape the industrial processes of the future. 3D printing, advanced materials, industrial automation, robotics, predictive maintenance and intelligent process control are just some of the fields in which the CRC is already active, with several projects carried out in collaboration with academic institutions of international standing. These include Politecnico di Milano (Polytechnic University of Milan), which has a laboratory at the CRC dedicated to future automation and industrial process control, and Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT, Italian Institute of Technology), which has a multidisciplinary joint-lab active at our site in Milan.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES The aim of our research group is to develop advanced methodologies for an economic assessment of health interventions and facilitate the circulation of scientific knowledge between researchers and public health decision-makers. In a context of limited resources, health care systems have to improve formal processes to determine whether or not new health technologies provide good value for money. Our activity consists in producing Health Technology Assessment (HTA) reports, Economic assessment of health interventions and empirical economic studies to support pricing and reimbursement process. Decisions are always taken under conditions of uncertainty, and the main scope of our group is to minimize (or quantify) this uncertainty. The research group is working, both at national and international level, on corruption and health. RESEARCH PROJECTS AND RESEARCH AREAS The EEHTA group has been involved in several national and international research activities. The main research topic focuses on the design and development of micro and macro health economic evaluations. With reference to those analysis EEHTA has several collaborations with the Ministry of Health the Italian Regional Agency for Health Care Services Regions, regulatory agencies agenziafarmaco.gov.it) and many hospitals concerning data management and statistical analyses of observational and retrospective studies and regulatory research centre The research group develops decision models and performs cost-effectiveness evaluations, burden of disease and budget impact estimations at international, national and regional level and regulatory affairs and pharmaco vigilance. The Center for Ethics in Science and Science Journalism (CESJ) is a non-profit organization launched in 2016 in Milan (Italy) to foster research, public debate and education activities – for both journalists and scientists – on science and science journalism and communication. In its first years of activity, CESJ focused on how to cover science-related issues, and especially controversies, in a responsible, ethical way. CESJ is directed by Fabio Turone, science journalist who in 2016-2017 was research fellow at the MIT Knight Science Journalism program in Boston, and scientific director Daniela Ovadia, who in addition to working in science journalism has been participating in several EU-funded projects and teaches “Ethics of research and responsible research and innovation” at University of Pavia.

Co3 Project Horizon 2020 European Union Programme
CO3, Digital Disruptive Technologies to Co-create, Co-produce and Co-manage Open Public Services along with Citizens, aims at assessing the benefits and risks of disruptive technologies, namely: blockchain, augmented reality, geolocated social network, liquid democracy tools and gamification, in the co-creation, co-production and co-management of public services with citizens as PAs partners. Augmented Reality becomes a single shared layer on the urban paysage and part of citizen’s public life, AR enables manipulation of financial objects built on blockchains, information sharing on a map, online deliberations and so constitutes an infrastructure for service co-production by citizens. CO3 pilots the technologies’ ecosystem of in three sites: Paris, Turin and Atherns. It evaluates the outcomes of the new interaction model between PA and citizens under a set of metrics in three dimensions: social and cultural: citizen engagement, change in relationship with public servants. economic: value of services produced, effects on workplaces, consumptions and economic sustainability legal: legal implications for PA including privacy and data protection. CO3 will devise a business plan ensuring long term sustainability for the PAs on the basis of the metrics applied on the pilots’ data. Impacts Enable Public authorities to develop pathways for the introduction of disruptive technologies while addressing societal challenges raised by such technologies. Enhance knowledge on digital democracy based on a thorough understanding of users’ needs and develop new ways of providing public services, of ensuring public governance and of boosting public engagement with the help of disruptive technologies. Contribute to developing new practices, to optimize work processes and to integrating evidence-based decision-making processes in public services and in services such as health, education, social welfare and mobility.
