Al Mukhatab Think Tank
The think tank centers around critical dialogue focusing on museology intersecting with but not limited to art, architecture, urbanism, and culture, moving away from institutionalized knowledge by creating a framework to look at the past, knowledge, and academy in a perspective that builds upon less authority in a more open-ended, cumulative mode. Questioning the academy suffers from representational crises (self\other) through representing a narrow perspective, thus reflecting biases, has led us to seek different approaches in today's social agenda that lacks intersectional communications. In the age of the internet, knowledge had become more accessible than anytime before, from a time that it was only limited to elites, the wealthy, and scholars. Whereas taking advantage of this accessibility, the think tank tries to increase/contribute cross-disciplinary dialogues without hierarchic tension. We intend to question even the most accepted taxonomies (classifications) in academic subjects and to talk about what could be different if we have a chance to change now? Why in 'other' contexts? Otherness is a wide range of arguments covering many political and cultural tensions since the emergence of nation-states. However, contemporary discussions about otherness, alienation, orientalism, exoticizing, and assimilation are still produced by a group of researchers to expose a very limited audience. We believe cultural otherness is a universal problem, and the more discussions stand out, the less oppression for others will happen in the future.

ALTAIR Robotics Laboratory is an Italian Center of Excellence in the research and development of advanced robotic systems that can interact with the surrounding environment in multiple ways from teleoperation to autonomous behaviours. The Lab was founded in 2001 by computer science Professor Paolo Fiorini and has focused since the beginning on the areas of robotic surgery, human-robot interaction service robotics for elderly and disabled care search and rescue robotics. ALTAIR Robotics Laboratory has been awarded several EU and Italian grants including projects on robotic surgery such as AccuRobAs, SAFROS, I-SUR, and EuRoSurge and has developed over the years a wide knowledge in the field of robotic surgery. The lab currently hosts about 25 researchers.

ARISE – African Research and Innovative Initiative for Sickle Cell Education: Improving Research Capacity for Service Improvement is a research project funded by the European Union under the Horizon 2020 MSCA-RISE-2018 programme. The project aims to establish a dynamic, interagency, and multidisciplinary staff exchange programme involving experienced researchers, early-stage investigators, and other key personnel from partner institutions. Through this collaboration, ARISE seeks to share and promote best practices in newborn screening, diagnosis, and treatment of Sickle Cell Disease (SCD), ultimately enhancing research capacity and improving health outcomes for affected individuals. Associazione Figli Della Shoah
Costituita nel 1998, l’Associazione Figli della Shoah è formata da Ebrei sopravvissuti alla deportazione, familiari e simpatizzanti che si impegnano affinché non venga dimenticato l’orrore della Shoah e lo sterminio di sei milioni di esseri umani, annientati sia fisicamente che psicologicamente per la sola colpa di esistere. Le molte iniziative a favore della sensibilizzazione dell’opinione pubblica e soprattutto dei giovani, hanno portato l’Associazione ad avere un ruolo e una risonanza nazionale. L’Associazione Figli della Shoah ha contribuito, fin dalla sua fondazione, alla campagna di sensibilizzazione per l’approvazione della Legge che ha stabilito nella giornata del 27 gennaio la data annuale celebrativa del Giorno della Memoria a partire dal 2001. Socio fondatore del Memoriale della Shoah di Milano e del Museo della Shoah di Roma, organizza seminari di aggiornamento per docenti, viaggi d'istruzione, mostre itineranti, kit didattico e eventi dedicati alle scolaresche sul tema dello studio della Shoah.

BAEDA is a research lab in TEBE group at Department of Energy of Politecnico di Torino aimed to address the challenges posed by digitalization process and penetration of data analytics technologies in the field of energy and buildings. The Lab conducts research to support the transition towards novel paradigms of energy management for intelligent buildings in smart energy grids. Energy Management and Information Systems (EMIS) in buildings are harnessing the benefits of artificial intelligence development for extracting useful knowledge from monitoring data and enabling the identification of ready-to-implement smart control strategies and energy conservation measures. The research activities of the Lab are structured on three main systems at the basis of advanced EMIS- Energy Information Systems (EIS) including informative solutions aimed at deeply characterizing and modeling the building energy behaviour, assessing the impact of energy management strategies, benchmarking the energy performance at different scales, and implementing predictive management strategies to support the decision-making process- Fault Detection and Diagnosis (FDD) consisting of informative solutions aimed to automatically identify faults and/or anomalies in the operation of energy systems (e.g, HVAC systems) and to promptly diagnose the causes of their occurrence- Automated System Optimization (ASO) including predictive and adaptive control solutions to optimise the settings of building energy systems considering the trade-off between multiple and contrasting objectives for enhancing energy flexibility, renewable energy integration and building performances. The Lab conceives and designs innovative EMIS solutions and develops mockups of energy analytics "applications", built on top of widespread software infrastructures in cloud environment or edge-computing devices.
