Ajou University’s Movelab is focusing on research on autonomous driving technology in the aspect of transportation and mobility and smart mobility service operation technology under the guidance of Professor Jae-Hyun So of the Department of Transportation System Engineering. The Movelab is currently working on the 'Level 4 autonomous vehicle test bed technology development (abbreviated)' task and the 'autonomous vehicle legal system/regulatory test (verification) framework development (abbreviation)' task of the Multi-ministerial Autonomous Driving Technology Development and Innovation Project Group. and national research institutes/local governmentsResearch projects related to MaaS (Mobility-as-a-service) platform and smart mobility are being carried out. The research team recently developed the ‘MacroSim scenario data input interface for autonomous driving legal system verification’ software.It has been registered with the Korea Copyright Commission. In addition, in the 'Mobility Hub Idea Contest' hosted by Seoul Metropolitan City in December 2021 with the research team of Professor Sang-Hyun Kim of Korea Aerospace University, challenged with the theme of “Seoul MISO Hub (Seoul Mobility Integration and Service Operation Hub)” and won the Excellence Award (2nd place, 10 million won).
