The IPD is a strategic economics consultancy and applied research and technological development center focused on issues related to the structural problems of market-economies. The IPD has experience in the design, elaboration and management of systemic-prospective projects related to globalization and competitiveness, based on frontier scientific knowledge, their conversion into state-of-the-art technologies and the innovation of value chains to generate competitive advantages in the Mexican economy. Based on the research carried out, the IPD provides linkage services and technological development, consulting and management, business direction and operation, training and dissemination. Through an in-house developed theoretical-methodological framework based on strategic foresight, systemic approach and technological innovation, more than 450 studies and projects are part of the portfolio. Areas of research: 1) Cutting-edge technological development and radical innovation in value chains of economies around the world. 2) Value chains and their expression in regional and municipal planning, with emphasis on food value chains. 3) Social and human development in highly marginalized regions. With a systemic future-oriented methodology, projects are developed with the communities by integrating social welfare (food, health, education and housing), improvement in the quality of life with equity of gender, environmental sustainability, culture and recreation, and security in all areas of social life. 4) Design of clean product and process technologies to obtain a triad of profitability: economic, by the generation of financial profit, ecological by the reproduction of recycling and social, by the economic spill between stakeholders 5) Market, pre and feasibility studies, executive projects and business plans prepared for different links of the value chains, as well as projects that develop surveys, models and quantitative methods.
