O conhecimento dos nossos antepassados é parte fundamental do direito à identidade pessoal. É também uma viagem ao encontro das nossas raízes e da nossa história, bem como um testemunho para o futuro. Através da consulta do Registo Civil e dos diversos Arquivos Distritais, arquivos particulares, nobiliários e diversas genealogias manuscritas podemos seguir a nossa linhagem até onde for possível. Para além disso, a Genealogia Lusa tem um vasto conjunto de realizações artísticas de âmbito heráldico e genealógico, como seja a gravação de anéis, reposteiros e bandeiras, louça e faiança armoriada, árvores genealógicas pintadas em papel ou pergaminho e o estudo genético do ADN.
