Coolestsg - Cooling Energy Science And Technology Singapore
Minister Chan announced the formation of the Cooling Energy Science and Technology Singapore (CoolestSG) Consortium at the Opening Ceremony of the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) on 30 October 2018. CoolestSG, which is hosted in NUS, will develop and accelerate the deployment and commercialization of cooling technologies, which can be applied to buildings, data centers and industry. Technologies include both active and passive cooling, and cooling by integrated design. CoolestSG offers a platform for industry partners and research performers to interact and work together to identify relevant topics, gain insights into Singapore’s future cooling needs, as well as develop innovative solutions that meet the needs of the industry. Companies that join the consortium will get to test their technologies at the facilities of research institutes and government agencies here, such as the Building and Construction Authority’s (BCA) SkyLab. CoolestSG aims to accelerate the creation of innovative cooling solutions and translate these technological advancements from the lab into real-world applications. Through this unique public-private partnership, academic institutions, government agencies and the industry will team up, pool resources as well as share knowledge and capabilities to co-create cooling technologies that are energy efficient and commercially viable. These industry projects will also serve as training opportunities to build a strong talent pipeline to meet Singapore’s future energy needs. The consortium will also be working with government agencies to achieve national sustainability goals for energy efficient cooling, including BCA’s Super Low Energy Buildings Technology Roadmap, and the Infocomm Media Development Authority’s (IMDA) Green Data Centre Technology Roadmap.

Dementia Research Centre Singapore
At Dementia Research Centre (Singapore), our focus is to work towards the early diagnosis and prevention of diseases that cause dementia through detection of cutting-edge blood-based biomarkers and state of the art neuroimaging tests. Led by Professor Nagaendran Kandiah at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, DRCS was launched in April 2022 and established itself as the first specialised centre carrying out dementia research studies on an entirely Southeast Asian cohort. DRCS currently houses the pivotal Biomarkers and Cognition Study Singapore (BIOCIS) which will recruit participants to undergo comprehensive memory testing, bloodwork and neuroimaging studies as part of a multifaceted and extensive approach towards creating a bigger picture of the biological factors unique to Asian dementia. DRCS aims to derive a greater understanding and awareness of Asian cognitive health through translational research – with a keen focus in channelling the knowledge acquired towards creating personalised interventions. Here, we strive towards initiating tangible community level change in building on the groundbreaking scientific research currently taking place. To help populations cope with the challenges of dementia, we believe in positive, impactful research that will not only uncover the underlying biological mechanisms of the disease for effective diagnostic and preventative tools, but also pave the way for pioneering therapies and community solutions on a widespread social scale.

Fede'gro'
FedeGro.ai is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) research and development venture focused on the primary goal of AI research known as Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). Research aims to establish a systems-level understanding and theory for the structures, dynamics, and mechanisms which give rise to human general intelligence. The development goal is to create a functional equivalent in the computational domain. Founded in late 2017, FedeGro.ai has conducted approximately 2 years of fundamental research centered on information theory, physics, biological systems, neuroscience, and cognitive science. With primary research completed and workable frameworks defined, focus shifted to development in mid-2019. In the first major iteration, development seeks to establish a foundational AGI capable of generalized perception, cognition, learning, and goal oriented interaction in 3-D and data centric environments. This achievement will serve to proof the merits of the theories and frameworks established during research. From this foundation, gradual enhancements will be made towards a more fully-defined system. This generalized framework can be applied to solve a broad range of problems directly or it can be applied to enhance the capabilities of current AI solutions. FedeGro.ai is led by a passionate visionary with an industry proven track record in prototyping and development of large scale distributed systems. From this strength, FedeGro.ai aims to translate the general intelligence capability of biological life to computational systems. It's ultimate aim is to achieve singularity.
