Recovery Research Institute
Enhancing Recovery Through Science The Recovery Research Institute (RRI) is a non-profit research institute of Massachusetts General Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School located in Boston, Massachusetts. In recognition of the increased public health and broader societal harms related to substance use disorders, and the lack of emphasis on research pertaining to how individuals achieve remission and sustain long-term recovery, the Recovery Research institute was created under the direction of Dr. John F. Kelly in 2012 with a goal to enhance the public health impact of addiction recovery science through the summary, synthesis, and dissemination of scientific findings and the conduct of cutting-edge research. The Recovery Research Institute is home to the Recovery Bulletin, a free electronic publication reaching an audience of over monthly containing contextualized summaries and syntheses of the latest research in addiction treatment and recovery. In addition, the Institute serves as a teaching and training center for promising researchers in addiction, funding 2-3 post-doctoral fellows each year.

Sdsu Mechatronics
The Mechatronics Club is a student organization at San Diego State University (SDSU). Our goal is to develop an environment for students at SDSU to gain valuable hands-on experience by providing team based robotics project opportunities. Our primary focus is RoboSub, where we design and build an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) to compete in the ONR and AUVSI Foundation’s International RoboSub Competition. This flagship project challenges students in mechanical, electrical, computer and software engineering, making it ideal for intermediate to advanced students. We also participate in MicroMouse, a competition that involves designing and programming a small autonomous robot to navigate a maze. This project strengthens problem-solving, electronics, and coding skills while providing an accessible entry point for students interested in robotics. Together, these projects create a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment that prepares students for future careers in engineering and robotics. The term mechatronics comes from the combination of mechanical and electronics, and reflects the integration of mechanical, electrical, computer, and software engineering that defines our work.
