History of Center for Research of Medicinal Herbs and Natural Compounds Diseases have risen along with the emergence of human and the use of herbs to treat disease was started at the same time. Thousands- years documents of the history of medicine and pharmacy show valuable experience and information in the context herbal therapy. Until a few decades ago all what that was used as a drug was obtained from natural resources mainly plants. The rapid development of science, on the one hand, and economic issues, on the other hand, have reduced the use of herbal and synthetic drugs as it was in the past and in many cases, synthetic drug has been alternatives for the plant. The experience of recent decades shows that synthetic drugs with high efficacy are associated with many adverse and undesirable effects and it has been discovered that there is less pure substance with no adverse effects. So nowadays return to the use of medicinal plants has been considered by many persons, and universities, research centers, factories and WHO have provided a wide range of programs for the use of medicinal plants and have considered a decisive role of plants in different places in the twenty-first century. Already in most developed countries like the United States, Germany, France and the United Kingdom that are leading in the chemicals and synthetic area, the use of herbal medicines has been developed and research on medicinal plants and their ingredients are on the rise. Given that the world's rapid movement towards the utilization of natural resources, the exploitation of natural resources, we need have a new approach of enormous natural resources and take appropriate step towards Iranian science and culture by conducting scientific research.

Research Institute For Gastroenterology And Liver Diseases

The SBMU Research Center for Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases, known as one of the medical science research centers of excellence in Iran, was established in This research center has been equipped with all of the required facilities and services to research gastrointestinal and liver diseases from the molecular to the epidemiological aspects. This center has focused its attention and efforts on novel aspects of medical research, particularly molecular medicine. Moreover, remarkable activities in terms of education and treatment have been carried out to attract and develop national and international collaborations, which promise a new perspective on the horizon of medical research in Iran. During years considering its status, it has tried daily to improve its place in research on clinical, basic, and molecular sciences considering the area of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. Of these centers in the past decade are various scientific and international connections, conducting necessary research, educating experts in research, using young researchers, and creating advanced specific labs for basic researches. Research plans of the institute have been in a way that establishing two other research instates meaning the research center for food and water-borne diseases and the research center for gastrointestinal system diseases basic sciences and epidemiology has been the results of spreading scientific researches and coordination with the country’s scientific improvement in the past years. Gonbad-E Kavus Agricultural Research Station

Gonbad-e Kavus Agricultural Research Station with a total area of 98 hectares is located 5 kilometers east of Gonbad-e Kavus city with a geographical position of 55 degrees and 12 minutes east longitude and 37 degrees and 16 minutes northern latitude, its height from the sea level of 45 meters and an average annual rainfall of 300-400 mm. This station was established in 1986 and its official activity began with research on cereals and cotton. Currently with 15 faculty and researcher at the station, with the cooperation and support of 15 expert and administrative staff, they have implemented their research and development projects in the fields of cultivating important crops such as cereals, oilseeds, legumes, cotton, seed control and certification, collection and identification of pests and diseases and weeds, effective control and control methods and plant nutrition, irrigation methods, etc. It is being investigated and this has made the research station above the first and most important stations in the country.

Regenerative Medicine Research Center

Regenerative Medicine Research Center (RMRC) is established in 2014 at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, Isfahan, Iran. The main objective of our team is to discover novel drug targets for complex disorders with a focus on chronic kidney disease. Using different layers of omics data, we plan to reach a holistic view towards the underlying mechanisms of the disease and hence translate big biological data to clinically relevant knowledge. Also, we are interested in the role of polyploid cells as the main drivers of tissue regeneration as well as cancer progression. Our laboratory has a nourishing environment in which team working, professionalism, creativity, and adherence to ethical issues are considered as the main values.

The Intelligent Systems and Advanced Control Laboratory was established in 2016 by Ali Chaibakhsh, in #University_of_Guilan. This laboratory is a home of research on intelligent systems and their applications. A major part of researches focused on modeling, control and fault diagnosis on industrial systems with special emphasis on power plant and large-scale systems. Hereby, five research groups including PowerGen, Bionic, Networked-System Research, Process Safety and Automation, Acoustic and Vibration were established. Research on a new aspect of intelligent systems applications in the design of brain-machine interface systems as the new goal of this center, was a reason for establishing a new Bionics research group.
