Advanced Robotics at the University of Washington (ARUW) is a student-run competitive robotics team. Engineering and business students come together to build nine robots to compete in the RoboMaster competition, held annually in Shenzhen, China. ARUW provides its student members with hands-on experience in robotics development, engineering management, and business. Through ARUW, student members learn to use professional grade tools and work in a small team to design, build, and test integrated robotic systems. Student leads learn about engineering and business management, gaining insight into all aspects of the project as a whole including project management, budget management, and recruitment.

Boston Collaborative Drug Surveillance Program Bcdsp
Boston Collaborative Drug Surveillance Program (BCDSP) is an independent, nonprofit research group with over 40 years of expertise in the design and conduct of pharmacoepidemiology and disease epidemiology research using existing data sources. We primarily use electronic health data collected in the United Kingdom and United States, combined with rigorous epidemiological and statistical methods, to produce real world evidence to support clinical, regulatory, and pharma decision making. The BCDSP makes significant and valuable contributions in the generation of real-world evidence in support of drug development programs, new drug applications, and post-marketing safety surveillance, as well as to inform public health and clinical decisions. We have extensive experience in the design and conduct of disease epidemiology studies to identify risk factors, describe disease progression and comorbidities, and in post authorization safety studies (PASS) to assess safety of newly marketed treatments. Studies conducted by our group cover a broad range of drugs and diseases. The BCDSP, over its 35-year association, has attained unparalleled knowledge of and made major contributions to the development and validation of the United Kingdom Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) and linked resources and also has broad experience with US claims and electronic health record databases. The BCDSP also offers professional education in drug epidemiology and welcomes collaborators from government, industry, and academia.

Castleman Disease Collaborative Network
The Castleman Disease Collaborative Network (CDCN) was co-founded in 2012 by Dr. David Fajgenbaum and Dr. Frits van Rhee (of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences). The goal from the start was to accelerate research to find a cure for Castleman disease (CD) and improve survival for all patients with CD. Drs. Fajgenbaum and van Rhee quickly brought together a global team of other physicians, researchers, patients, and loved ones, and their collaboration has made tremendous progress over the last five years. The Castleman Disease Collaborative Network (CDCN) is a global initiative dedicated to accelerating research and treatment for Castleman disease (CD) to improve survival for all patients with CD. We work to achieve this by facilitating collaboration among the global research community, mobilizing resources, strategically investing in high-impact research, and supporting patients and their loved ones. CD describes a group of inflammatory disorders that vary from a single enlarged lymph node to life-threatening multiple organ failure. CD is diagnosed in approximately 6,500 to 7,700 patients of all ages each year in the U.S.

Children's Healthwatch
Children’s HealthWatch, founded in 1998, is a nonpartisan network of pediatricians, public health researchers, and children’s health and policy experts. Our network is committed to improving children’s health in America. We do that by first collecting data in urban hospitals across the country on infants and toddlers from families facing economic hardship. We then analyze and share our findings with academics, legislators, and the public. These efforts help inform public policies and practices that can give all children equal opportunities for healthy, successful lives. Our research is grounded in the experience of pediatric researchers who see first-hand in clinics how economic conditions and public policies are reflected in the health and well-being of their youngest patients. Our network of pediatricians and public health researchers collects data on children up to the age of four in emergency rooms and clinics at Boston Medical Center, the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore; the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock; Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis; and St. Christopher's Hospital in Philadelphia.

Our work brings us to the forefront of policy and quality improvement initiatives on the local, state and federal level. The results of our work makes a significant impact on QRIS systems, core competencies and alignment. Evaluating the QRIS model is a two pronged approach. Building an implementation evaluation into the QRIS to assess the infrastructure, best practices and cost effectiveness can lead to improvements in assessing quality components of QRIS, technical assistance offered and in reaching parents and communicating the level of quality in early care and education settings. However, the ultimate goal of the QRIS system is to ensure that children experience quality care and emerge with the highest possible levels of school readiness outcomes. To accomplish this requires a carefully planned validation study. Based on our extensive work with QRIS systems, outcome research and evaluation and participation on QRIS Validation Study Advisory Boards we have created a validation study plan. States have been responding to new waves of scientific research by developing and revising core knowledge and core competencies (CKCC) for early childhood professionals. Our approach to revising CKCC is based on our work in Michigan, Massachusetts, and our extensive review of national resources and CKCC projects in eight other states. It ensures the relevancy and appropriateness of CKCC and PD systems so that they are aligned with state early learning standards, consistent with the latest research on young children and families, and accessible to the full range of early childhood educators. The goal of alignment planning is to sharpen and concretize the design and implementation of early childhood services to ensure a viable, cohesive, high quality, community-wide effort for young children. The paradigm shifts that are needed to fully embrace alignment across the service delivery system are enormous. We have a Five Part Strategy to tackle these issues.

Eclipse Clinical Research (Eclipse) was established in August 2007 as the first multi-specialty, independent research facility in Green Valley, Arizona. In May of 2012, Eclipse relocated to our Tucson location in the St. Mary's hospital compound in order to take advantage of Tucsons larger population center. This allowed us to expand into new and exiting areas of clinical research. Since opening our doors our staff has grown from one doctor and one coordinator and a receptionist to include four doctors, a nurse practitioner, three coordinators, a dedicated patient recruiter and two data entry specialists. We also strongly support our local colleges by actively seeking out quality interns in the fields of nursing, medical assisting, and of course clinical research coordinating.
