Isi Art Community
ISI is an art community that aspires to be the center for artists who would like to create and connect with other artists and be the lead art community. We would like to expand our social/cultural impact to a national level. We see ourselves as integral and crucial curators of African Art & culture and preserve society’s most pressing thoughts and memories through the lenses of local artists. We started with a team of 6 people all interested in art and over 10 local artists who have different inspiring concepts. Our common goal is connecting Rwandans and local artists to build an ecosystem that expresses and communicates their artwork to the community so they can consume it. In order to accomplish this we have different promotional campaigns, such as. bi-annual countrywide art tours, seasonal exhibitions, and much more. Our last exhibition’s theme which occurred in October 2020 was on how COVID-19 impacted the Rwandan society.
