De Rode Winkel
Op 19 maart 1837 openden Johannes Broekman en Annaatje van Essenberg aan de Lange Elisabethstraat in Utrecht een kleermakerij en een winkel in fournituren. Huisnummers bestonden nog niet. Na het overlijden van Johannes zette zijn weduwe de zaak voort onder de naam ‘Weduwe Johannes Broekman’. De winkel specialiseerde zich naast de kleermakerij in beroepskleding. Werklieden, boeren en tuinders uit Utrecht en omgeving wisten de weg naar haar winkel te vinden. Haar zonen Anthonius en Augustinus volgden haar op en zij kochten in 1911 aan de overkant van de straat een aantal panden. Na een grondige verbouwing werd daar op 19 maart 1912 ‘Gebr. Broekman Heerenmode’ geopend. Zodoende werd aan de ene kant van de straat, op nummer 11 en 13, beroepskleding verkocht en aan de andere kant van de straat, op nummer 20, kon men terecht voor ‘het zondagse pak’. In de jaren die volgden groeide Gebr. Broekman uit tot de gerenommeerde herenmodezaak Thom Broekman, terwijl de beroepskledingwinkel uitgroeide tot jeansspecilalist De Rode Winkel. Het predicaat Hofleverancier, toegekend bij het 175 jarig bestaan in 2012, onderschrijft het toonaangevende karakter van Thom Broekman en De Rode Winkel. Thom Broekman zorgt ervoor dat mannen goed gekleed gaan. Ons ‘geheim’ zit onder andere in het feit dat we altijd goede collecties inkopen. Allemaal van perfecte kwaliteit, met uitstekende pasvormen en gemaakt van de beste materialen.

Farm Food Natural Dog Food
Natural dogfood and products since 1982. In 1982 Mr. Gerrit de Weerd (a consultant in the field of animal feed and animal health in the Netherlands and abroad) was asked to put together a dogfood that could be used as a neutral food in a scientific research on dogfood. He composed a high quality dogfood with a pressed pellet; based on beef from Dutch milk cows; without any chemical additives like antioxidants, artificial colourings, flavourings or aroma's, emulsifiers or preservatives. A complete, healthy and clean dogfood for every dog of any age, any breed and any condition. The research was completed after two years and the production of this "all life stage" trialfood was supposed to stop. However, after the research period during the year of 1984, several breeders insisted that this dogfood should stay available since the results they saw on their dogs were overwhelmingly good and beyond belief. Farm Food HE was born. For several years the popularity of the dogfood grew mainly through verbal advertising. Enthusiast dog owners, breeders, instructors and trainers stood at the cradle of Farm Food HE. The basic composition nowadays is for the most part identical to that of twenty years ago. The formula has proven itself repeatedly. Naturally the product is in the course of time improved by own and scientific insights.

Modehuis Ter Horst Van Geel Bv
Ter Horst van Geel is een eigentijdse winkelketen voor damesmode. Het modehuis kent tien winkels in Brabant en Gelderland en staat bekend vanwege de goede service, een vooraanstaande collectie en vooral veel persoonlijke aandacht. In 2013 vierde Ter Horst van Geel haar 55-jarig jubileum, maar de naam is al meer dan een eeuw verbonden aan mode. De grootouders van de huidige directie voegden hun achternamen samen bij de start van een confectiewinkel in Kampen. Onder dezelfde naam startten de heer Ter Horst en zijn vrouw in 1958 een eigen winkel aan de Berghemseweg in Oss. Met succes. Al snel vestigden zij zich in een grotere winkel in het centrum van Oss en sloegen hun vleugels uit met vestigingen in andere steden. Inmiddels heeft Ter Horst van Geel, met kleinkinderen van de oorspronkelijke grondleggers als directie van het familiebedrijf, winkels in Oss, Doetinchem, Ede, Geldrop, Nijmegen, Uden, Veenendaal, Veghel, Wageningen en Zutphen.
