Nature Robots

Nature Robots aims to support regenerative and ecological agriculture through AI and robotics in harmony with nature and humans. Nature Robots develops autonomous robots for regenerative agriculture. Based on the specially designed and built long-term autonomous monitoring robot Lero, high-resolution three-dimensional plant maps of vegetables and other plant crops, as well as weeds, are created and migrated into a monitoring user interface for agronomists, farmers, and plant breeders. The AI and robotics systems allow for use in natural and arbitrary-structured environments, such as vegetable production, orcharding, and viticulture, as well as in agroforestry, forestry, photovoltaic, and agrophotovoltaic environments. Nature Robots is a spin-off of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and was founded in January 2022 in Osnabrück.

Since the foundation of our team in the year 2013, we are participating anually in the Standard Platform League of the RoboCup competition. The RoboCup is an international initiative with the goal of advancing research in humanoid robotics and artificial intelligence. Wir wurden 2012 als studentisches Robotik-Team der Leibniz Universität Hannover gegründet 🤓 Von 2015 bis 2024 nahmen wir an der RoboCup @Work Liga teil, wo wir 2015 und 2016 Weltmeister wurden Seit 2019 arbeiten wir auch daran, in der RoboCup Soccer Small Size League (SSL) anzutreten, was wir 2022 erfolgreich geschafft haben: Wir konnten in Bangkok den dritten Platz erreichen! Im Jahr darauf erreichten wir in Bordeaux sogar den zweiten Platz. Im Jahr 2024 haben wir uns entschieden, in die höhere Division innerhalb der Liga zu wechseln, um unsere Roboter weiter zu verbessern. So war der RoboCup in Eindhoven voller neuer Erkenntnisse und Erfahrungen! Wir haben definitiv vor, auch in den nächsten Jahren weiter teilzunehmen. Nächster Halt (nach der Entwicklung unserer zweiten Robotergeneration): Südkorea im Jahr 2026 🥳 Unsere Leidenschaft ist es, praktisches Robotikwissen und Teamfähigkeiten allen interessierten Studierenden zugänglich zu machen, während wir gemeinsam als Team lernen und wachsen 🤩🤝
