Robotriks
Robotriks Ltd is a robotics R&D company based in Par, Cornwall, UK, specialising in the design and manufacture of affordable, autonomous robotic platforms for real-world use. Founded in 2018, we set out to break down the financial and technical barriers to automation in agriculture and other industries. Our mission is simple: to make advanced robotics accessible, sustainable, and practical for the people who need them most. We believe that high-performance technology doesn’t need to come with a high-end price tag, and we prove that every day in the field. Our flagship platform is the Robotic Traction Unit (RTU) a modular, all-terrain, autonomous vehicle designed for a variety of agricultural tasks. With interchangeable attachments, robust connectivity, and real-time onboard processing, the RTU brings intelligent automation to farms, estates, and research environments without the usual cost or complexity. From autonomous weeding and precision planting to soil compaction testing and infiltration analysis, our solutions are developed with flexibility, scalability, and environmental impact in mind. The RTU is fully electric and engineered to reduce soil damage, chemical usage, and emissions, helping to build a more sustainable future for farming. We partner with local authorities, researchers, and innovators across the UK and beyond to develop systems that solve pressing challenges in agriculture and land management. If you're looking for robotic systems that are reliable, field-tested, and rooted in real-world needs, we're ready to talk

Flapping Wing Mav Project
We are a student-led research team of 16 aiming to develop bio-mimic flapping wing drones to achieve better agility and power efficiency. Our first prototype is of 30g weight class and 30cm wing span micro air vehicle (MAV). The work we have done/been doing: • Writing MATLAB script with quasi-steady aerodynamic modeling of the flapping lift and drag of one cycle. • Designing and optimizing the mechanical linkage and mechanism to transmit rotary motion of the motor to flapping motion. • Conceiving a conceptual design of and prototyping the bio-inspired flight stability and pitch control abdomen joint. • Developing the manufacturing techniques for ultra-lightweight wing and stiffener complex and designing a test stand for rapid testing of the wings. • Setting up simulation environment in Webot and developing Simulink model for control.

Neurorobotics Lab
The Neurorobotics group at Newcastle University works at the intersection of robotics/mechatronics and neuroscience. On the one hand, it uses robotic and mechatronic technologies to study how the human brain plans, controls and executes movements, as well as how it acquires new motor skills, from the early stage of its development to its maturity. On the other hand, it aims to exploit the knowledge acquired from a healthy brain for a human-centered design of robotic and mechatronic systems, to better assess and intervene on movement-related brain pathologies, such as stroke and Parkinson’s disease. These research activities are strongly interdisciplinary and benefit from the opportunity to work with neuroscientists, clinical neurophysiologists and developmental psychologists. The group is led by Prof. Domenico Formica and has expertise in robotics for applications in neuroscience, control of physical human-robot interaction, and experimental motor neuroscience. On these themes prof. Formica is coordinating the EU project CONBOTS which aims at designing and testing a new class of robots, the CONBOTS, which physically couple people to facilitate the learning of complex sensorimotor tasks.

Triangle
At Triangle, we’re building an AI model that fundamentally changes the way Complex Hardware Engineering is done - reducing R&D costs by 10x. Our vision is to spawn a new breed of generational hardware companies that design, engineer, manufacture, and sell groundbreaking products that challenge the current incumbents. To prove this approach, we’re starting in the robotics space - arguably one of the most complex products to develop. Traditionally, building production level robotics has been one of the toughest challenges in engineering; if we can build in this space at a fraction of the usual cost, it will catalyse the entire industry to take note of how future hardware engineering will be done.
