Thunderbolts Frc
ThunderBolts began operation in May of the following year at Loudoun County's Lightridge High School. Founded by Trinity Dysis, ThunderBolts quickly became a staple in the Lightridge community, amassing a following of nearly 40 active students. Members were able to gain hands-on experience utilizing VEX robotics, competing in artistic competitions using CAD, and learning basic coding of Java and the physics required in assembling a robot. The devotion and effort of the team have been recognized by those such as a former robotics mentor of Carnegie Mellon, Joseph Giampapa. In addition to robotics, we dedicate ourselves to enriching our community through our outreach projects: ExploraVision, Decarbonization, and Assistive Technologies.

Matches are held every other week throughout the semester, with a flagship tournament held near the end of each semester. This project is designed for competitors of any skill level, as WCRL provides documentation and lab sessions to help you build your bot (if needed). Wolverbot Kickers
WolverBot Kickers is the University of Michigan’s humanoid robotics project team, building humanoid robots that can perceive, walk, recover, and play soccer autonomously. We start in CAD by designing and iterating parts and assemblies, creating mounts and brackets, and preparing designs for manufacturing/3D printing. From there, we build and integrate the hardware, then wire and validate the electrical system, including power distribution, motor control, and sensors. Finally, we bring it to life in software with ROS 2, perception, localization, motion and controls, plus full system integration from simulation to the real robot. We also handle sponsorship, budgeting, outreach, and project planning to keep the build moving and get the robot competition ready.
