Central High School's Robolancers
As a student-run organization, the RoboLancers learn important leadership, management, and financial skills as we oversee a large and complex organization. Currently, our program consists of two teams – flagship FRC team 321, RoboLancers, and entry level FRC team 427, LANCE-A-LOT. Our goal is not only to build a competitive robot, but to improve the city around us. To date, we have mentored or coached 150 teams regionally. We use our experience and resources to increase the accessibility of robotics to Philadelphia. In a city where only 13 percent of graduating students go on to receive four-year degrees in science or engineering, we take pride in knowing that we are increasing that number — one student at a time.

Chase Robotics
Chase Robotics is pioneering a new era of intelligent construction oversight. Grounded in decades of practitioner experience, we design technologies that elevate how projects are seen, understood, and executed. Our philosophy is simple: precision over noise, clarity over complexity, and real-world solutions over speculation. We believe the future of construction will be defined by those who deeply understand the field — and build technology that respects it. At Chase Robotics, we are shaping that future with discretion, discipline, and a relentless commitment to innovation. We don’t just work in construction. We reimagine what it can become and beyond!

Freaking Aliens
Freaking Aliens is building the sensory infrastructure for autonomous AI — a network of intelligent sensor nodes that provide any intelligent system with a shared, real-time understanding of the physical world. As AI moves from the cloud into streets, skies, and cities, the bottleneck is no longer intelligence — it's context. Every autonomous system today builds its own incomplete picture of reality. They don't share what they see. They don't agree on what's happening. And when you put multiple AI systems in the same space, they don't coordinate — they conflict. We're fixing that. Freaking Aliens is building the shared nervous system for AI in the physical world. We deploy intelligent sensor nodes that create a single, real-time picture of reality that any autonomous system can plug into. When one machine sees something, every machine that needs to know, knows.

Origami Robotics
Industrial automation is essential to the future of manufacturing—and fundamentally broken for everyone who isn’t a Fortune 500 company. Today’s robotics market is built around rigid, over-engineered systems that assume parts never change, volumes are massive, and time-to-deploy doesn’t matter. Automation is sold as a one-time capital asset, but in practice it is a slow, fragile engineering project that collapses the moment a part, fixture, or workflow changes. For small and mid-sized manufacturers, especially machine shops, this model is economically and operationally unworkable. Robotics is supposed to increase flexibility, but today it enforces rigidity. Origami Robotics exists to invert this model. We build modular robotic systems powered by chained agents that produce deterministic automation through high-level abstraction. Instead of writing low-level motion code or re-engineering cells for every new part, users deploy reusable “skills” that reason about tasks such as picking, orienting, cleaning, loading, and unloading. These agents are chained together to create predictable, repeatable behavior, without sacrificing flexibility. Our hardware is designed to reconfigure in minutes, not weeks. Arms, gantries, vision, and end effectors are self-identifying and automatically integrated into the control system, allowing motion, kinematics, and constraints to be generated on the fly. A new CNC job does not require rebuilding the cell, only selecting a new skill chain and, when needed, a simple fixture or nest. This approach makes high-mix, low-volume automation not just possible, but incredibly useful.
