Who are we? Yildiz Technical University Solar Boat Team have been founded in 2012 by students of YTU Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Bachelor's degree Program. Foundation aim is participating local and international Solar Boat races and also representing the Turkish Marine Enginering in the best way. The team has participitated the Dutch Solar Race four times in 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018 which was organized every 2 years. Now for 2023 the team focused to get degree in ''Monaco Energy Boat Challenge''. Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi Güneş Enerjili Tekne Takımı 2012 yılında YTÜ Gemi İnşaatı ve Gemi Makineleri Mühendisliği öğrencileri tarafından kurulmuştur. Kuruluş amacı ulusal ve özellikle uluslararası güneş enerjili tekne yarışlarına katılmak ve Türk gemi mühendisliğini en iyi şekilde temsil etmektir. Takım bu güne kadar 2 senede bir gerçekleştirilen Dutch Solar Race’e 2012, 2014, 2016 ve 2018 yıllarında olmak üzere dört kez katılmıştır. Takım 2023 yılında gerçekleşecek olan Monaco Energy Boat Challenge' da dereceye girmeyi hedeflemektedir.
