Guernsey Cricket Board (GCB) is the body that has sole control of all ‘things’ cricket in the Bailiwick of Guernsey having been formed to oversee the process that saw Guernsey become an Associate member of the ICC. Guernsey Sports Commission
The Guernsey Sports Commission [GSC] is a charitable organisation set up in 2004 to promote physical activity and sport in Guernsey, Channel Islands. The GSC runs a number of programmes throughout the year which offer people of all ages the opportunity to participate in different activities. These include our On Your Marks holiday programme, our Street Sports sessions and weekly opportunities for people with disabilities or long term health conditions to enjoy and participate in sport. We employ specialist PE and Sport Development Officers who work in primary schools helping to provide a positive and inclusive experience of PE and sport. These staff work with teachers to develop their understanding and knowledge of Fundamental Movement Skills and Sport. They also run lunchtime and after school sports clubs and signpost sporting activities outside of school highlighting the support available from the Sports Commission if cost is a barrier to participation. We operate a quality assurance scheme for sports clubs and organisations on the Island known as SportsMark. Sports who achieve the accreditation have provided evidence of appropriate safeguarding and welfare policies and procedures, have qualified coaches and are well-run organisations. We also providing funding for off-island competitions and training through our Sport Development Fund and support a number of Sport Specific Development Officers working in Guernsey.

Guernsey Athletics Club
Guernsey Athletics Club provides support for all aspects of athletics – track & field, road and cross country running for all ages and genders. The club provides organised training sessions from our club room situated in the Garenne Stand at the Footes Lane Athletics Track. At this facility we have the use of a 6 lane synthetic 400 metre running track complete with all field event equipment. Track & field – Training throughout the year at the track on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, plus training at various locations at weekends depending on the season. Regular competitions are organised during the summer. Road, Cross Country – Training throughout the year from the club house on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. During the winter there is a race most weekends with distances varying from 1 mile to 23 miles. Road races, cross country, cliff path and handicap events provide a wide variety.
