Fondée en 1915 par M. Louis Quilicot, Bicycles Quilicot est la plus ancienne boutique spécialisée dans la vente de vélos encore existante à Montréal. En 2005, Marc-André Lebeau devient le nouveau propriétaire et relance cette institution alors vieille de plus de 90 ans. Il décide de s’installer sur la rue Masson, dans le quartier Rosemont. Automne 2006, après seulement 8 mois d'activité sur Masson, le jeune entrepreneur, âgé de 28 ans à l’époque, décide d'ouvrir une seconde succursale sur la Rive-Nord de Montréal, qui accueille ses premiers clients à Sainte-Thérèse en mars 2007 (et déménagera dans un local plus grand au printemps 2014). Printemps 2012, six ans après le rachat de Bicycles Quilicot, une troisième succursale voit le jour à Laval. Avec plus de pieds carrés, cette succursale propose la plus grande superficie de l’entreprise et redéfinit les standards de l’industrie dans la grande région métropolitaine. Et en 2015, Bicycles Quilicot entre officiellement dans l'ère numérique en inaugurant sa boutique en ligne, qui donne accès à plus de 70 marques de produits liés au vélo. Aujourd'hui, après un siècle d'existence de la bannière, le monde du cyclisme québécois profite toujours de l’héritage que la famille Quilico lui a légué. 2Pong was created through a son/father's love of paddle and racquet sports. During Ontario’s first lockdown in 2020, 2Pong was created in our family basement while we were looking for new ways to exercise and stay active. We were playing a friendly game of table tennis in the basement and thought it would be interesting to try playing with two paddles (table tennis). We tested out various options around the basement like two trainer's sparring mitts and two dumbbells. This led us to developing a prototype by taping two table tennis paddles to gloves with duct tape. We found that 2Pong not only worked up a great sweat, but also kept us entertained for hours. Our family has always been involved in a variety of sports. Table tennis has always been a part of our lives along with Karate, hockey, volleyball, running, dance, and pickleball. We have always strived for athletic achievements like winning Ontario Hockey Federation Championships, earning black belts in Karate, competing in OFSA Championships in hockey, volleybal, running, tennis. We thought table tennis tables were pretty common amongst North American households, but also knew that most of them were lying dormant in most basements. We feel like 2Pong can reinspire people to use their tables again, but for a different reason, to play 2Pong!
