Vip Operator

Vip operator is a mobile network operator in Macedonia and a member of the Telekom Austria Group. On March 26, 2007, Vip operator acquired the third license for mobile communications operation from the Macedonian Agency for Electronic Communications, worth EUR 10 million, after winning on the tender for the 10 year GSM 900/1800 license. Vip operator’ commercial start was on 19 September 2007, only six months after acquiring the license. As of March 2010, Vip has a population coverage of more than 98% with its own network. In September 2012 Vip built its own 3G HSPA+ network and already provided 90% population coverage in the Republic of Macedonia. In July 2014, Vip launched its 4G LTE network with largest population coverage. At the end of 2013, the youngest mobile operator on the Macedonian market had more than customers and a market share over 28%, securely standing on the second position on the mobile telecommunications market. As of May 2008, Vip operator has a strategic partnership with the global brand Vodafone In 2015, Vip operator merged with ONE into one network operator - one.Vip DOO Skopje.
