GUSHKA was founded in 2016 with the only one goal - to take Hutsuls'(ethnic group spanning parts of western Ukraine and Romania) skills and knowledge of weaving the woolen products, their traditions, customs and make a brand that would satisfy nowadays consumers, meet the market demand and expectations. We work for people who appreciate hand-made products, the history/traditions and the story that comes with it. We hope that those people prefer high quality and natural products. We truly believe that the woolen rugs, carpets, and blankets should be used not only for practical purposes but also should make consumers happy and loved. As a company, we take responsibility for two things - making sure that the local community “grows and prospers” and the future consumers are having as perfect quality as possible. Thus, we’re taking care of each step of the product life-cycle- having own farm and ships, working closely only with trusted local farmers in order to get the high-quality wool- employing local families and masters that have decades-experience of hand-weaving the woolen products- developed our own weaving technique which significantly improved the quality and appearance of the end products- designing new templates for every other product to keep diversity and uniqueness- washing newly hand-weaved products in the clean mountain river and drying them out on the fresh mountain air- hand-scissoring each of the products to make sure they’re soft and gorgeous. Our production is extremely flexible and we can easily adapt/change the future products dimensions (size, color, technique, design, etc.).
