The 180MW project is a 50:50 joint venture between ATCO Power Australia and Origin Energy and entered commercial operation in December 1998. Osborne sells its electrical output under a long term power purchase agreement to Origin. ATCO Power Australia operates the Osborne plant which is fuelled by natural gas from South Australia’s Cooper basin.
