Navajo Tribal Utility Authority - Ntua
NTUA supplies and extends electricity, water, natural gas, wastewater treatment, and solar power services to homes and businesses throughout the square mile Navajo Nation and neighboring communities. NTUA purchases electrical power from off the Navajo Nation and transmits that power to homes throughout northern Arizona, northwestern New Mexico, and southeastern Utah. Even as NTUA works hard to meet the basic utility needs of the Navajo Nation an estimated families are without access to electricity, and many more homes and families are without access to basic infrastructure, such as water, wastewater, and natural gas services. As a non-profit enterprise, NTUA receives federal loans and grants to extend electrical power to rural communities. What money NTUA generates is returned to maintain, operate, and upgrade utility infrastructure.

Nevada Irrigation District (NID) was formed in 1921 and headquartered in Grass Valley, California, a picturesque and historic California Gold Rush town in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, 60 miles northeast of Sacramento. North Alamo Water Supply Corporation is a legally chartered corporation operating under the laws of the State of Texas for the purpose of furnishing a potable water and wastewater utility service for rural residents of eastern Hidalgo County, Willacy County, and northwestern Cameron County as described in Certificates of Convenience and Necessity Nos. 10553 and 20645 (CCN). The Corporation’s CCN boundary encompasses 973 square miles and either surrounds or is adjacent to 16 cities and/or communities that operate public water systems. The system presently serves more than 44,900 meter connections, which include households, numerous businesses, 24 schools, and six other Public Water Systems, from six surface water treatment plants and one reverse osmosis treatment plant. The 44,900 meter connections represent an estimated population of nearly The surface water treatment plants treat surface water conveyed by six irrigation districts. The original source of the raw water is the Rio Grande River. The reverse osmosis treatment plant treats brackish groundwater. Of these meter connections, approximately are also served by the corporation’s wastewater system. The corporation’s operating policies, rates, tariffs and regulations are formulated and implemented by a nine-member Board of Directors elected by the members of the Corporation.

The Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC - The Reliable One) is a municipally-owned public utility providing electric and water services to the citizens of Orlando, Florida, St. Cloud, Florida, and unincorporated Orange and Osceola counties. Established in 1923 by a special act of the Florida Legislature, OUC is the second largest municipal utility in Florida and 14th largest municipal in the country. OUC provides electric, water, chilled water and/or lighting services to accounts.
