Cape Point Vineyards is an award-winning wine estate situated in Noordhoek, Western Cape, South Africa. Our unique location, nestled between the fynbos, vineyards, and the Atlantic Ocean, offers a picturesque setting and ideal conditions for premium winemaking. Being the only wine estate on the Cape Peninsula, we benefit from cool Atlantic Ocean breezes and southeasterly winds from False Bay, influencing the slow ripening of our grapes for complex flavor profiles. We are particularly renowned for our Sauvignon Blancs, considered some of the finest in the country. We also offer a variety of other wines, including Sémillon and red varietals. In addition, our unique setting has allowed us to become somewhat of an authority when it comes to hosting corporate functions and weddings.

Now, in 2023, Lindile actively participates in the blending and labeling process of his wines. He invites visitors to experience the taste of Khayelitsha in his welcoming tasting room. Through his business, Lindile not only aims to expand wine culture within the township but also seeks to change global perceptions of Khayelitsha in a positive way. Here, on a granite outcrop known as Sinai Hill, in the Lower Helderberg, our vineyards are mostly a few generations old and currently in custodianship by Bernhard and cousin Pieter Bredell (both 7th generation). This unique farming area benefits from the region’s distinctive maritime windy influence, bush vine dry land farming and the characteristically lighter granite and silica soils. Some deep laying duplex clay and iron ferricrete pockets keeps an interesting complexity in our reds. These unique terroir elements contribute to the unparalleled expression found in each bottle of Scions of Sinai. Our vineyards have become more than wine to us.
