About A. Barry

Senior Vice President of Technology for Cottonwood Residential, Cam oversees the technology team, information security and property management software support aspect of the business and coordinates the development and integration of various technological and cloud components. Cam's current and previous responsibilities have included providing leadership to his IT and consulting staff, working with other executive team members on strategic short-term and long-term planning, developing software integration, management tools and cross-platform mobile applications and assisting with automation and infrastructure planning through the use of various technologies. In his 25 years of experience providing IT services he has leveraged his combination of technological expertise and business skills to help drive organizational progress. Prior to joining the Cottonwood Team in 2015, Mr. Barry lived in Portland, Oregon where he was the IT Director for Guardian Management. He helped to successfully merge the IT infrastructure during a management company acquisition and facilitated numerous projects and initiatives for process analysis and improvement. Cam is currently a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), PECB certified ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer and a Senior of Computer Science at Portland State University. He has served as Vice President for PrideNW, Oregon and SW Washington's LGBTQ 501(C)3 non-profit organization, well-known for the annual Portland Pride(TM) Waterfront Festival and Parade and is now a key volunteer. In his spare time he loves learning about hardware hacking, developing video games, getting out on the water, and spending time outdoors.
