About Aakrish Daswani

Hello! My name is Aakrish Daswani, and I am a manufacturing engineer at The E.A. Patten Company. I hold a BS degree in mechanical engineering and mathematics from the University of Connecticut. As a student in UConn's School of Engineering, I grasped a strong understanding of the fundamental principles of mechanical engineering, including thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, sensors, and linear systems. My concentration specialized in design, manufacturing, products/processes, operations, automation, programming, and simulations. My work experiences have helped me discover my passion for the manufacturing industry, and they are actually what lead me to pursue a concentration in design and manufacturing. Through the various roles in the manufacturing corporations I have worked for thus far, I was exposed to an extensive variety of production operations, including sheet metal fabrication, assembly, refurbishment, planning, quality assurance, sales, and support.Throughout my years in school, I also gained insight into the transferable skillsets of customer service, communication, and teamwork through my experience working part-time in local restaurants. In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball, running, graphic designing, skiing, and golfing. I am also a 3D-printing enthusiast!
