Researcher | Educator | Mentor in Molecular Biology A dedicated researcher with a focus on molecular biology and medical genetics, she actively contributes to research and teaching, guiding team members, including research assistants and graduate students, through complex projects. Her expertise spans culturing a wide range of cells, including primary fibroblast cells from patients, stem cells, and cell lines. She also has extensive experience in developing both in vitro and in vivo disease models, including xenograft models with animal subjects. Skilled in handling laboratory animals, including mice, rats, and monkeys, she conducts advanced analyses such as RNA sequencing, whole exome sequencing, and metabolomics. Proficient in molecular techniques like qPCR, PCR, western blotting, immunocytochemistry, ELISA and gel electrophoresis, she also plays an essential role in manuscript writing and revisions. Previously, she served as an Assistant Professor, where she led research initiatives as a Project Investigator, contributed to curriculum development, and taught a range of courses to both undergraduate and graduate students, such as Physiology, Research Techniques, Animal Diversity, Research Methodology and more. Her teaching extends to digital platforms, utilizing tools like Zoom, MS Teams, Kahoot, Voov, Perusall, Google Docs and Mentimeter to enhance learning experiences. In addition, she has experience assessing and grading student papers across a diverse set of biological and educational disciplines. Her Ph.D. research focused on gonadal cancer therapeutics, specifically the role of tumor-associated macrophages, leveraging xenograft models and techniques like RNA sequencing, flow cytometry, ELISA, and tissue dissection to investigate the tumor microenvironment. She has earned numerous honors, including the SRGP-Grant awarded during her IPFP-Fellowship at Quaid-i-Azam University,"2019 Excellent International Graduate" at UCAS, China, and the titles of “Excellent International Student” in 2018 and 2017 at the Institute of Zoology, CAS, Beijing, China. She achieved Associate Fellow status (AFHEA) with the UK’s Higher Education Academy for teaching and learning support excellence in 2022 and completed the National Faculty Development Program (NAHE) in Pakistan. Her additional training includes the CSCB course on Mouse Genetics and Phenotyping at Nanjing University, China, and she holds a Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) certification. Additionally, she is an HEC-approved supervisor, demonstrating her commitment to academic and research excellence.
