About Aaliyah Ali

As the Volunteers Officer at Human Appeal for the North of UK and Scotland, I have several responsibilities, including designing and delivering volunteer outreach projects and campaigns, leading events, and undertaking administrative tasks in support of the wider volunteering team and the People and Culture department. My extensive knowledge in the humanitarian sector includes experience with several global campaigns and emergencies and I have firsthand been on the ground in Lebanon, in which I provided lifesaving aid to Palestinian/ Syrian Refugees and the local Lebanese population, as well as Kenya, where we inaugurated water wells and distributed hot meals, food packs & NFI/Hygiene kits. I have also raised just under through my own personal fundraising. Notably, I have been part of the events team for major events like the Light Upon Light tour, where I helped manage 400-500 volunteers per event, with up to attendees. I am dedicated to growing the Human Appeal volunteer base and actively recruiting new volunteers, driven by the values of compassion and empowerment to make a positive impact on the lives of others. My commitment to humanitarian causes and volunteer management has consistently guided my efforts to inspire and support volunteers in their contributions to our mission.
