About Aaliyah Byrd

I’m a dedicated Health Coach and Therapist Intern with a background in mental health, case management, and developmental services. I currently provide supportive coaching to individuals working to improve their physical and emotional health through lifestyle changes, medical coordination, and life skills development. My role allows me to walk alongside clients as they navigate healthcare systems, advocate for their needs, and develop healthier routines that promote overall wellness for their mental and physical health. As a Therapist Intern on the path to becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I’m passionate about integrating mental, physical, and emotional wellness into every level of care. My clinical training focuses on trauma-informed support, motivational interviewing, and empowering clients to take control of their healing journey. In parallel with my clinical training, I am currently developing my future private practice. This integrative mental health and wellness practice will combine traditional therapy with movement-based interventions to support trauma recovery, emotional regulation, and long-term well-being. I’m actively working on the business model, Medicaid and insurance pathways, branding, and service structure to ensure a sustainable and client centered approach. Previously, I served as an Assistant Director at Developmental Services Inc.(DSI), where I led and collaborated with teams committed to the health and well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities. I also worked as a Home-Based Case Manager and Visit Supervisor, supporting clients with complex needs across mental health, substance use, abuse, and developmental challenges. I’m committed to serving others with empathy, structure, and purpose and I thrive in roles that bridge gaps in care, promote equity, and support whole person healing.
