Background

About Aalok Joshi

I am an architectural designer and urban designer with experience across multiple scales, urban design and planning. I have actively worked on projects of national and historical importance in New Delhi. Urban Design for me is about narratives, the cultural identity of a space, the “in-between” spaces, the history, the interaction of communities, their sense of belonging and how we as urban designers can drive them. I pursued my graduation in 2023 in MArch Urban Design at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. I received my Bachelor of Architecture with First-Class Distinction from Pune University, India in 2022. I bring to the table a robust foundation in architecture, accompanied by an ardor for Urban Design, Generative Architecture, and Computational Design. My interests also lie in — typography, graphic, illustrative, industrial, local art, computational design. I like the ideation, the making, the people, the culture, the stories which goes into making these objects. I like working in a collaborative environment which will challenge my ideas.
