About Aalyn Wild

My career path thus far has been anything but linear. I started out as most do, in a customer service role, selling baked goods, then clothes. I was always the one arranging the scones perfectly on the tray, ensuring there wasn't a crumb out of place, or meticulously sorting the clothing racks into size order. I then moved into administration, which suited me far better. I was good at it, and most of the time I enjoyed it too. Entering data, sorting, scheduling, administrating the heck out of things, satisfied some fastidious, OCD part of my brain. But I soon became bored, so I found ways to be creative. I would take photos, make videos, find inspiring quotes each fortnight for the timesheets, post to socials, fix the website. I even created Gratitude Month and made a little gratitude box out of cardboard and wrapping paper, inviting each employee to write nice things that someone else had done for them that month. It was a hit. I hand wrote Christmas cards to 30 of our best customers, and one for each of our employees, until my fingers nearly fell off. Eventually, I knew it was time to move on. So I decided to see if I could make money from my hobby - making videos. As it turns out, there's actually a rather large and growing demand for videographers and content creators. I'm still only a few years into this world, but the creative side of me is loving it. I have no idea where it will take me, but I'm enjoying the ride!
