Aamir's journey in the cellular chipset design industry began over 20 years ago. He started at small startups before climbing the ranks to technical leadership positions at Fortune-500 companies such as Texas Instruments, Broadcom, and Qualcomm. His expertise spans across R&D, product and business development, project management, engineering operations, and off-shore engineering execution. Aamir's experience has taken him around the world, building international design teams, managing multi-million dollar budgets, and executing complex engineering programs across multiple countries. But as the industry evolves and becomes increasingly interconnected, Aamir has shifted his focus to the growing challenge of information security. Aamir's deep concern for intellectual property (IP) security is at the forefront of his focus. With the rise of AI-driven threats, the need for secure data has never been more pressing. Aamir believes that information security will gain even greater significance as we move towards ubiquitous information connectivity enabled through 5G, affordable satellite internet access, low-cost smartphones, self-driving vehicles, smart connected cities, smart homes, and Internet of Everything (IoET) devices.
