About Aarae Byrd

I am a student assistant at State of Michigan and a receptionist supervisor at MSU Student Life & Engagement, pursuing a BA in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. I have strong skills in data and records management, administrative support, cybercrime research, and investigation. In my current roles, I provide quality assurance for confidential prisoner documents, maintain shared drives and accounts, and supervise payroll, scheduling, and training for a residence hall. I also collect and analyze data from forums on the dark web used to decipher illegal goods and services, and research how cybercrime markets operate. I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to contribute to the public safety and security of the society, and to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team.
