Background

About Aarav Vaidya

As a Millennium Fellow at Millennium Campus Network (MCN), I collaborate with a global cohort of young leaders to advance the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. I am passionate about public policy, social justice, and human rights, and I aspire to work in a position that allows me to contribute to these causes. During my time as a Research Intern at the Centre for Social and Policy Research (CSPR) at Christ University, Bangalore from May 2022 to September 2022, I worked closely with the team to assist in research work. I also had the opportunity to participate in academic conferences and discussions, where I was able to share my insights and learn from other experts in the field. Additionally, I collected large volumes of data, performed literature reviews, collated findings, and wrote articles to contribute to the research projects undertaken by the Centre. I also published my first academic article during my internship. I am also a BA student at Christ University, Bangalore, majoring in Economics, Political Science, and Sociology. I have developed strong academic writing, communication, and critical thinking skills through my coursework and research projects. I have also received multiple honours and awards for my participation and performance in various inter- and intra-university competitions and events, such as debates, Model United Nations, and academic quizzes. In addition, I have gained valuable experience and exposure as a Training and Development Associate at ISPH MUN Society, where I train and mentor delegates for MUN conferences and competitions, and as a Sub-editor at Ephemeris, the magazine of the Economics Department, where I edit and proofread articles, and develop themes for publication. As the head of the Debate Club, I organised events, moderated debates, and convened weekly meetings of members, guiding and mentoring members and helping them enhance their public speaking capabilities. I enjoy working with diverse and dynamic teams and am always eager to learn, adapt, and grow.
