I'm a mission-driven researcher, writer, and relationship builder with a commitment to data-driven research and human advocacy.Backgrounds in academia and philanthropy strategy & operations help me bridge cultural and business knowledge in the product design space.My research mindset and communications skill set comes from a combined 12 years spent first as a philanthropy researcher and then as a Ph.D. researcher in the humanities.This background makes me feel at-home in all types of analyses; whether slicing and dicing numbers or sifting through reams of pages for qualitative clues.I have a strong record of partnering with stakeholders at diverse management levels and spearheading cross-functional projects. Cultivated habits of empathetic listening and clear communication help me collaborate effectively, whether I am working with senior management or sharing responsibilities, debating approaches, and aligning work with equal peers.In my current role I teach in the classroom and lead user research-informed projects to optimize a writing curriculum that impacts undergraduate students.At UC Berkeley I was part of an internal consulting team responsible for strategic and operational initiatives that informed the direction and processes of fundraising units across the institution.Analytical rigor + creative curiosity is how I define problems and uncover impactful insights.
