About Aaron Buehring

As the Director of Interior Design at Lionakis, Aaron Buehring leverages 15 years of interior design experience to enhance the client's vision. His dual expertise as a professional anthropologist and interior designer provides a distinctive lens through which he examines human interactions with space. Aaron approaches design holistically, skillfully blending finishes, branding, furniture, art, and lighting to create environments prioritizing user experience. With a strong commitment to research-driven design, he is eager to integrate the latest insights and innovations into every design moment. Buehring Studios: Driven by the scarcity of effective school furniture solutions for Maker Spaces and NextGen learning environments, I explore how multifunctional furniture could enhance the educational experience. Through my collaborations with numerous educators, I observed many valuable learning moments diminished due to the constraints of existing furniture options. My design philosophy revolves around three core principles: the ability of each piece to expand the learning environment, durability, and aesthetic appeal. Over the past five years, in partnership with various collaborators, I've successfully designed two award-winning furniture pieces recognized as Best in Show for Innovation, launched an entire furniture line, and sold over units in just the last year.
