Background

About Aaron Bunn

I grew up in a construction family. My entire life I have honed my skills building and repairing things. when I entered the workforce I followed in my father's footsteps and went into construction, starting in steel framing and drywall and moving to grading after a short period of time. As a student I studied drafting and learned quickly how to read blueprints and visualize three dimensionally. I started in grading as a laborer and learned the industry from the "ground up". I moved quickly to grade checking and heavy equipment operating and became a grading foreman shortly there after. I find great satisfaction in my abilities in this arena, I can operate all types of equipment proficiently and I know how to lead in the field. Safe successful grading operations are most definitely a team effort. Things I learned in the grading industry helped me to transition to the aerospace industry in that I learned not to limit myself to any "one" skill. I strive to be the "utility" hand, to be proficient and knowledgeable in anything I involve myself in. As a foreman/ supervisor in any field, I believe it is best to build your team by encouraging individual success, responsibility and growth which brings about mastery of their craft. By building others skills we build our own and ensure the next generation of skilled workers is ready to take over behind us. A leader is a guide, a point of focus, not a babysitter. A leader strives to constantly improve not just him/herself but their entire team. The leader in my opinion must be the first of the "learners".
