About Aaron Clark

With over 10 years of experience in sports administration and education, I am passionate about creating positive social change through sport. Most recently I was the Director of First Peoples Commonwealth Games 2026 at Victoria 2026, I led the strategy and engagement for the bid to host the first ever Commonwealth Games with a First Peoples focus. I worked with multiple stakeholders, including Indigenous communities, government agencies, media, and sponsors, to showcase the rich culture and history of the First Peoples of Australia and the region. I also facilitated the development of a legacy plan that would benefit the First Peoples in terms of health, education, employment, and empowerment. Previously, as the Director of KGI at Richmond Football Club, I oversaw the business and player development programs for the club, including the Korin Gamadji Institute, which provides education, leadership, and cultural opportunities for Indigenous and multicultural youth. I also managed the club's partnerships with universities, schools, and community organizations, and delivered presentations and workshops on topics such as diversity, inclusion, and reconciliation. I have a strong academic background, having completed multiple certifications in sports administration and player development from La Trobe University and an adjunct faculty position at AGSM @ UNSW Business School. My core competencies include strategy, business, presentations, and First Peoples engagement. I am driven by the mission of using sport as a platform for social justice and empowerment, and I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team.
