About Aaron Curley

I've gained valuable music industry experience by completing a Marketing and Promotions internship at CBS Radio. I was able to work closely with the Marketing Director and Coordinators for three different radio stations and assist them in meeting their marketing needs. The internship tasks included creating a fun atmosphere at radio events such as concerts, live broadcasts, and remotes; office work such as filing and sorting winner release forms; communicating with radio station clients, and assisting with blog posts on station websites. I was also part of the Marketing and Entertainment team for Boomtown Entertainment, LLC - Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill. As part of this team, my responsibilities include handling promotions of in-store specials, concerts, and events through social media. In addition, researching competing events within our locations' markets, overseeing execution of live shows, ensuring all marketing materials are produced in a timely manner, etc, were all part of my responsibilities. I am also the editor and writer for my very own country music website All Things Country. Through the website I have been able to gain valuable skills such as interviewing skills and marketing knowledge. The website has also given me the opportunity to improve my creative writing, editing, communication, and networking skills. It has also allowed me to network with representatives from various record labels and PR firms and develop relationships them. I completed my Music Business Bachelor's of Science Degree from Full Sail University in November of 2015. The Music Business program included classes such as: Artist Management, Concert Management & Publicity, Critical Listening for Music Professionals, Leadership & Organizational Behavior, Music Business Law & Contract Negotiations, Music Business Management, Music Business Marketing, Music Copyright & Publishing, Music Distribution, Music Merchandising & Retail Promotion, and Record Label Development
