I'm a software developer and manager, focused on building great software. What is great software you may ask? Well, it is- Secure - In production - There to fulfill the needs of users - and behave as they would expect it to behave - Resistant to failures - it should expect failures in its dependencies and continue to process - Resilient to failures - if a catastrophic failure is unavoidable, then it should fail gracefully and be monitor-able - Testable and tested, through unit, integration, and manual testing - Simple and maintainable, following SOLID principles - Aware and contains or defines its external dependencies - Documented for its users, creators, and maintainers - Delivered on time, and in budget What matters most in this is people. People build and use software, and it should make everyone's lives better, not worse. It takes a village to make a product, and I strive to be the best villager I can be, fulfilling whatever role is needed.
