About Aaron Durant

Howdy, I'm Aaron. ‍ I'm a software developer, motocross racer, and writer in Michigan with a five-year motorsports journalism background. I'm proficient with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Gatsby, Next.js, Angular, Node.js, Git, MySQL, and more. I attended three dozen motorsports events across North America between 2015 and 2020, publishing nearly articles about racing on an independent online publication I co-founded called The Apex. Though I switched to focusing on software development, the intersection of web design and content remains one of my central passions. Currently, I channel this by writing about professional Supercross and motocross racing at MotoOnline plus other topics on my personal website. In October 2022, I returned to motocross after 13 years away. The chance to grow up aiming to race for a factory team on the biggest stage has passed me by, however I'm elated with my opportunity: to push myself as far as possible from an unlikely starting spot. Along the way, I'll share my progress and discuss the brands and products that make a difference via my vlog series, 80HD. ‍ I try to have most things flow toward coding and motocross, but I also enjoy playing golf, playing drums, snowboarding, attending heavy metal concerts, and laughing with family and friends.
