About Aaron Gehring

Works with: Families, Individuals, and Couples Adolescents 12-18 Adults 18+ Aaron Gehring graduated from the Salisbury University, School of Social Work with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Social Work. Aaron has experience working with individuals, children, adults and families. As a generalist, Aaron uses an interactive approach to help facilitate growth and communication at various levels. Aaron is fully licensed as a LCSW-C in State of Maryland. Aaron has previously worked at Community Behavior Health as an outpatient mental health therapist working with individuals, including children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, experiencing a range of mental health disorders. During his time there, he also led group therapy sessions. Aaron has experience working with individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. He utilizes a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team approach to provide high quality level of care. Aaron also worked at Wicomico County Public Schools working with adolescents on challenges related to academic, career planning, social relationships, and mental wellbeing. He is experienced with using mindfulness, conflict resolution, and supportive therapy with evidence-based interventions, including motivational interviewing to help individuals set and meet their unique goals
