About Aaron Gullins

I work as Construction Manager with WF Botkin Construction. My primary duties include managing a project management team during their procurement and project management duties of various facility, municipal, and highway projects. I delegate projects and proposals based on my employees' unique experiences and capabilities and provide real-time performance feedback. When mentoring and guiding my team, I appreciate that they are conscious, thoughtful, and organized individuals. So, I allow them to foster their skills without being overbearing to give them a sense of growth, accomplishment, and purpose. Suppose I have concerns about their direction on a particular project. In that case, I will inquire into their understanding of the project and whether they have considered additional solutions to the difficulties. And when the risk becomes too great, I will interject into their plans and explain why I felt the need to do so. Finally, the team meets regularly with superintendents and supervisors to brainstorm and trade ideas, evaluate the project's details, allocate resources, and discuss constructability concerns. Previously, I worked as a Civil Engineering Intern in Stantec's Transportation division in Thunder Bay. I work with Project Managers and Engineers to develop and execute various transportation projects throughout Northern Ontario; clients include the Ministry of Transportation, the City of Thunder Bay, school boards, and Northern First Nations Communities. Similarly, I worked at TBT Engineering, where I worked as a Project Manager in TBT Engineering's Building Science Department. I analyze RFPs from our clients, determine the scope of work, and coordinate with TBTE multiple departments to provide quality products at a reasonable price. Furthermore, I maintain continuous correspondence with clients and stakeholders to maintain positive and trusting relationships to increase my company's legitimacy within Northern Ontario. I managed several multi-million dollar projects, managing the projects through their life cycles. Some of our clients are, but are not limited to, BrookfieldGIS for IO, the City of Thunder Bay, and Thunder Bay elementary, secondary, and post-secondary education institutions.
