About Aaron Hamlin

My career has focused on transformative change in under-recognized, high-impact social causes. I simultaneously founded and grew two nonprofits from scratch, each reaching $1M+ budgets. In total, I raised roughly $10M across both organizations. As a visionary leader, philanthropy expert, and experienced advisor, I excel in strategically building organizations, navigating high-risk areas, and guiding donors to create lasting impact. My diverse educational background, including a law degree and two additional social science graduate degrees, has equipped me with the expertise to excel in the nonprofit sector, social sciences, and philanthropic advising. I've also showcased my extensive reading in fundraising and tax law through a series of essays on my personal website. In addition to philanthropy, contraceptive technology, and nonprofit development, I also write about random things like locks and bike security. To say that I'm curious and quick to showcase my knowledge would be an understatement. Key accomplishments: Pioneered Male Contraceptive Initiative (MCI) and The Center for Election Science (CES), guiding them to achieve significant milestones such as funding early male contraceptives, one of which got to Phase I human trials, and the initial implementation of approval voting in two U.S. cities. Secured major funding, developed international networks of experts, and built a reputation as a trusted advisor in voting methods, contraception, nonprofits, and philanthropy. Successfully advised high net worth donors, leveraging my extensive knowledge and experience in nonprofits and tax law to maximize their philanthropic impact.
