About Aaron Ibarra

Aaron is an experienced and highly driven Manager at Protiviti, working in their IAFA (Internal Audit & Financial Advisory) practice. He has over 5 years of consulting experience (encompassing time at EY and Protiviti), specifically within IT Audit both on the external and internal side. During this time, Aaron has worked on a variety of projects, including several Financial Audits, SOX engagements, focusing primarily on ITGC testing, Application Control testing, Key Reports, etc. Aaron has served as a mentor and coach on his engagement teams to junior team members including how to test, sample, and document workpapers. As far as education goes, Aaron graduated from the University at Albany (SUNY) in 2018 with his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business Administration, and in 2020 he graduated with his MBA concentrating in Information Systems and Business Analytics. This mix of Business and IT Education has boded well in his career as an IT Consultant. Overall, Aaron’s time at the University at Albany was transformative and molded him into the professional he is today. Aaron was heavily involved on campus, engaging in several clubs and organizations such as his beloved Fraternity, Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity, Inc, the Association of Latino Professionals for America, Community Outreach to name a few. From his involvement, it is evident that he truly cares about giving back to his community as well as serving as a positive role model to minorities and people of color from low-income areas, specifically the Bronx as those are his roots.
